HULL — The reconditioning of North Second Drive in the Town of Hull has started. 

The project work will consist of improving the pavement structure, improving roadway drainage, and widening the paved surface from 10 foot lanes to 11 foot lanes with 4 foot paved shoulders.  The widened shoulders on both sides of the road have been included in the project design to enhance safety for bicycle and pedestrian traffic. Roadway improvements will take place from the Stevens Point City limit near Stans Drive to County Highway X.

North 2nd Drive is closed to through traffic throughout the duration of the project.  Drivers who commute the roadway should find an alternative route until construction is completed.  Residents along North 2nd Drive and the communities within the project limits will have access to their property but are reminded that North 2nd Drive is a work zone.  Drivers are asked to be cautious of workers, equipment, and changing roadway conditions.  Delays may be possible.

The project is expected to conclude by mid-October.
