Lightning strike suspected as the cause of Bush Court apartment fire

STEVENS POINT — The Stevens Point Fire Department responded to an apartment fire on the 2600 block of Bush Court at roughly 6:20 a.m. on July 18.

Reports state that the flames were caused by lightning striking the eight-unit complex, though the cause is still under investigation. No injuries were reported during the occurrence. Tenants from the complex were evacuated and will be displaced until the site is repaired and deemed livable by officials.
