PARK RIDGE — Local liquor mainstay The Bottle Stop is in the process of expansion.
Owner Matt Lazarski has operated the Bottle Stop since 2011, and informed the Gazette that plans to expand will soon come to fruition. Lazarksi took out a wall to create an extra space for such an expansion.
The expansion will include a separate section solely for beer, as well as a bar for taps, growler fills and beer tastings. The area will also include a section for apparel.
“Ideally, we started off thinking that there’s a lot of beers that are hard to get, or they don’t make in packaged form. So the only way to get those hard-to-get beers is to have them on tap.” said Lazarski.
The new space will include a new floor and space for tasting events and tap takeovers. As a result of the space set primarily for beer, it opens up the other side for wine tasting for fans of vino.
“It will be a great option for you to come in an try a few things you wouldn’t normally be able to get.” Lazarski added.
Lazarski aims for the expansion to be completed as soon as four weeks from now. The Bottle Stop is located at 35 Park Ridge Dr.
