STEVENS POINT – The Riverfront Arts Center (RAC) is seeking submissions for a brand new art exhibit titled “The Blues Effect”.

This is an open medium exhibit but any artwork submitted needs to be at least 90% the color blue. The idea is to create a gallery space that immerses its viewers in the color blue in all different mediums and from all different artists.

2-D and 3-D works, including but not limited to paintings, drawings, photography, fiber, sculpture, pottery, collage, glasswork, metalwork and stonework of any style, all 90% the color blue may be submitted. All artwork will be curated by a committee for consideration into the exhibit.

Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration. Artists must be 17 or older to submit. There is a $10 (non-refundable) submission fee for one submission, $15 for two submissions. Full requirements and submission forms are available at the RAC, or on our website at www.stevenspoint.com/rac.

“The Blues Effect” submissions are due in-person on Tuesday, August 20 and Wednesday, August 21, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Digital submissions may be submitted for special circumstances. Please contact us with questions. The exhibit runs September 6 to October 13 with an opening reception Friday,
September 6, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

The Riverfront Arts Center is open to the public and free of charge. Hours are Tuesday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Closed on Mondays, holidays and between exhibits for installation.
