STEVENS POINT — CoVantage Credit Union has announced that it will provide special Storm Recovery loans to those dealing with unplanned expenses related to recent storm damage.

“Part of the CoVantage mission is to work with members experiencing financial challenge. When natural disasters occur that impact our members and their families, we want to help. We believe this Storm Recovery loan is a way CoVantage can help by providing some peace of mind during a very stressful time,” said Charlie Zanayed, CoVantage President/CEO

With this program, eligible borrowers can apply for an unsecured loan up to $25,000 to help with losses or expenses related to property damage, repairs and restoration services, replacement of personal belongings, or to assist until insurance checks arrive. The special Storm Recovery loan rate is 2.99% APR and borrowers have up to 4 years to pay it back. 

Zanayed said he hopes the Storm Recovery loans will provide relief to those who need it. “The last thing someone needs when dealing with storm damage is worrying about where they will get the money to repair their home and replace possessions.”
