PLOVER — Playhouse Theatre Group of Central Wisconsin, in partnership with First Weber Stevens Point, invites you to the Family Fun Fest on August 9 from 5pm-8:30pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plover.

Attendees are asked to come down and gear up for an evening chock full of “excitement and happiness”, as Playhouse Theatre continues to rebuild.

“Why are we doing this? Partly because we love to show our community a good time,” stated member Andrea Turnquist in a press release.  “We are also doing this to raise money for our organization. The Playhouse Theatre Group had been fortunate to call the Springs United Methodist Church in Plover our home for the last four years.”

“This past March, tragedy struck when a fire destroyed the Springs Church; this devastated the congregation, as well as Playhouse; we lost nearly everything we owned (costumes, props, sound equipment, mic packs, etc.).

But, the show must go on.”

Funds from the Family Fun Fest will benefit Playhouse Theatre Group, which in turn benefits area children by giving them the opportunity to shine in our productions and theatre camps.

“It allows us to award scholarships and donate to groups throughout Central Wisconsin, such as school music programs. Playhouse is run solely by volunteers– every dollar made goes right back into the arts.” she added.

Scheduled Activities

-Dance up a storm to a live DJ
-Play carnival games and get cool prizes

An unlimited bounce house wristband is just $5! Hot dogs and lemonade will also be available for purchase.

Playhouse Theatre would like to thank First Weber Stevens Point for sponsorship of the event, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for allowing them to hold the event at their location, Party eNVy for game donations, and Lee Ayers, Thomas Dailing, and Kaia Durall for their generous prize donation.
