Stevens Point YMCA camp moved to Wisconsin Rapids

For the City Times
STEVENS POINT/WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Stevens Point Area YMCA was dealt a substantial blow the weekend of July 19 when storms swept through Peters Family YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow in Amherst Junction.
To ensure the safety of staff and campers, YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow has been moved to YMCA Camp Alexander in Wisconsin Rapids.
Staff continues to work with tree removal and insurance professionals, contractors, DNR and others to sift through the damage and evaluate what the rest of our summer will look. The extent of the damage the storm has had on the camp is significant and is not fully covered by insurance, specifically relating to tree removal.
