PLOVER – The temporary tree and brush drop off locations at Okray Park and Kubacki Park will close on Aug. 11.

Trees and brush will no longer be accepted at these locations. As of Aug. 11, all storm damage materials must be taken to the village compost site at the Village of Plover Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility, 4496 Coolidge Avenue.

Due to the continued cleanup from the wind storm, the village of Plover compost site days and hours of operation have been expanded as follows: Monday thru Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.; and closed on Sunday. These hours are effective Aug. 12-24.

Plover’s special curbside pickup continues for storm damage only materials – tree branches, tree trunks, and tree bushes. Place storm damage materials next to the outer edge of the asphalt roadway on your street. Branches and tree trunk lengths are not to exceed eight feet in length.

Crew will not pick up leaves, twigs, compost, or grass clippings. Heavy machinery will pick up brush and logs. As such, any remaining materials will be the responsibility of the property owner. Please note that stumps will not be taken as part of the special storm pickup. Property owners are responsible for removing any stumps on their property.

Once crews have completed an initial pickup throughout the village, a second pickup will be scheduled at a later date. A second pickup will occur when the village can arrange the contractors to return.

Please check www.ploverwi.gov and the Village Public Works Department Facebook Page for notice of the second pick up. A press release will also be issued once a second pick up date has been selected.

If you have any questions please contact the Public Works Department at 715-345-5257 or the Village of Plover Office at 715-345-5250.
