Joyce J. Hubbard, 88, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully August 6, 2019 in Stevens Point.

Joyce was born August 10, 1930 in Stanley, the daughter of William and Edna (Robbins) Schauf. She graduated from Durand High School. Joyce earned her Journalism Degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She worked at the Wisconsin Rapids Tribune, before moving to Stevens Point in 1970. She worked at the Portage County Public Library until her retirement in the mid 1990’s. She was a freelance journalist for many years, loved being around and riding horses, and was a devoted grandmother. Joyce enjoyed her travels to Europe and Eastern Europe in the 1970’s.

She is survived by her two sons: Craig (Lisa) Hubbard and Ross Hubbard, both of Stevens Point. Two grandchildren: Patti and Ethan. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and her granddaughter, Heidi.

There will be a private family service to remember Joyce. A big thank you to Stevens Point Care Center and Ascension Hospice for their excellent care of our mother.
