Edward J Riske Sr, 78, of Stevens Point, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019. Ed passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Ed touched many lives in the community through the friendships he built, his jokes he loved to share, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He loved fishing, gardening, woodworking, and tinkering with various projects, but what Ed cherished most was the time he spent with his family.

Ed is survived by his loving life partner Elaine (Waterson) Gosh.  Children, Kathy Phillips, Jerry (Mary) Gosh, Laurie Rossier, David Riske, Brian (Julie) Gosh, Jeff (Kelly) Gosh, Eric Gosh (Crystall Robinson), and Edward Riske Jr. 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his siblings, Gertie (Doug) Ruby, Andy Riske, Marian Strasser, Paul (Sharon) Riske, Doris (Dennis) Kunst, and Jerry Riske.  He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Alvina Riske and 3 brothers, Richard, Chuckie, and Joe Riske.

Ed’s family would like to extend a thank you to all of the wonderful, thoughtful, selfless people who provide care in his final days. With special gratitude to Crystall Robinson.

Ed will be greatly missed.

In Lieu of flowers a memorial in his name will be established at a later date.

A time for family and friends to gather will be from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday Aug. 14 at the Pisarski Community Funeral Home at 2911 Plover Road in Plover. there will be a time for sharing stories and memories at 6pm.
