Stevens Point Police seek help in hit and run

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run.
On Aug. 12, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Point officers responded to a hit and run in the 2700 block of Stanley Street. Following the incident, the vehicle turned south on Illinois Avenue, near Ascension Saint Michael’s Hospital, leaving the scene of the accident.
The investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling west bound and is most likely a 2010-11 Toyota Camry, black in color.
The vehicle will have front passenger side damage from striking a mailbox and a light pole.
