MADISON – The second-half Great Lakes West Division champion Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (46-28) finished their 10th anniversary season with a 9-2 loss on Aug. 13 to the Madison Mallards (44-30) in game two of the 2019 sub-divisional playoff series.

The Rafters fell behind 3-0 early and could not come back to extend their season. Madison added one run per inning from the fifth through seventh to win 6-0. Edarian Williams led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4.

Gareth Stroh picks up just his second loss of the season with 4.2 innings as the starter. He closes out a stellar summer with a 7-2 record and a 2.04 ERA. The Rafters collected the second-best overall record in the league and the third-best record in team history.
