CWA installs new boarding bridges

The Central Wisconsin Airport, jointly owned and operated by Portage and Marathon Counties, is in the midst of installing new passenger boarding bridges. The telescoping units allow passengers to move between the terminal gates and an aircraft without going outside. Work on the first of five new boarding bridges, shown above, is underway and airport officials say the entire project will be finished by Thanksgiving. The federal government is covering most of the $3.5 million replacement cost. CWA’s share is just over $200,000. CWA photo.
