August 14, 2019

Missing calves 

On August 14 at 12:53 p.m. a 72-year-old male reported that two of his baby calves had gone missing. The male stated that he was unsure if they had been stolen, had gotten away somehow, or had been eaten by a wolf. The incident took place at a property on Fountain Lake Avenue in Almond.

 

Unlucky 13

On August 14 at 9:24 a.m. during a routine traffic stop a 25-year-old female was arrested on 13 charges that included misdemeanor bail jumping, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, violation of child safety restraint requirements, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

 

August 15

Suspicious dress buying 

On August 15 at 11:17 a.m. a 41-year-old female reported that a male buyer over 18 years of age was attempting to meet with a juvenile female alone under the pretense of purchasing a dress from her.

 

August 18, 2019

Unwanted intoxicated male

On August 18 at 1:51 a.m. a 35-year-old female reported that there was an intoxicated male who was present and whose presence was unwanted. The male was found at the Fairgrounds, Amherst property, and was arrested for criminal damage to property.

 

Tree aflame 

On August 18 at 3:56 p.m. it was reported that there was a tree on fire at a property on Dean’s Lake Road in Waupaca.

 

Stolen truck found 

On August 18 at 2 a.m. a 26-year-old male reported that his truck had been stolen between 2-6 a.m. the previous morning. However, the truck was later found and no charges filed. Also involved in the incident were two 25-year-old males, a 24-year-old male, and a 25-year-old female.

 

Cat fight 

On August 18 at 7:38 p.m. it was reported that a dispute had broken out between two 34-year-old females at a property on Prairie Street in Stevens Point. The dispute turned physical, and one of the females hit and pushed the other one. The suspect was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct.
