SPARTA accepting grant applications

STEVENS POINT – The Stevens Point Area Retired Teachers’ Association (SPARTA) is accepting grant applications now through Sept. 30.
SPARTA grants are awarded to non-profit groups and organizations that directly benefit the lives and education of students and seniors in Portage County.
Grants were awarded to 32 organizations during the 2019 cycle. The grants are funded through money raised from the SPARTA fall and spring book sales. The upcoming fall book sale will be Oct. 16-19.
Applications must be submitted by the organization requesting funds. An application form can be down-loaded from the SPARTA website www.spartanewsandnotes.com.
