Celebrating community
On Aug. 25, neighbors on Plover’s Eighth and Ninth Streets gathered to celebrate community at a “Post Storm” party, hosted by Pam and Duke Sommers and Kit and Ann Kiefer. Attendees were treated with fellowship, music from a neighborhood band, and a potluck meal. Organizers stated that even though the neighborhood continues the clean-up process, it was a good time to “reflect on the good in others and to congratulate each other for the bonding and caregiving that was displayed during the challenging time following the storm.” Submitted photo.
