August 26, 2019

Butt hunter 

On August 26 at 3:16 a.m. suspicious activity was reported near Maria Drive and Division Street in Stevens Point. Officers made contact with the individual, a 54-year-old Stevens Point male, who stated he was looking for cigarette buts in garbage cans behind restaurants. No reason for this strange search was given.

 

August 27, 2019

Egging 

On August 27 at 10:02 a.m. a male reported that his house had gotten egged that night. The incident occurred on Oriole Lane in Stevens Point.

 

Attempted intrusion

On August 27 at 10:49 p.m. a 40-year-old male reported that a 53-year-old male had attempted to get into the vehicle of a 35-year-old female without her permission. Police contact was made with the subject, who left the scene.

 

August 28, 2019

Suspicious activity

On August 28 at 5 a.m. it was reported that one of the windows of a 54-year-old female’s vehicle had been broken. The victim reported that the incident had occurred while her daughter was outside and her daughter reported hearing the door handle rattle as if someone was trying to get in. The incident occurred at a residence on Second Street in Stevens Point.

 

August 29, 2019

Cranberry Chaos

On August 29 at 9:31 p.m. a 49-year-old Portage County resident reported that their dried cranberries had started on fire. The incident occurred at a residence on Hayes Avenue in Plover.
