Pressure canner testing offered

For the City Times

STEVENS POINT – UW-Extension Family Living Educator Sherry Daniels will provide free testing of dial gauges on pressure canners at the Rosholt and Plover Branch Libraries in September.

The testing will take place at the Plover Branch Library on Sept. 10, 4-6 p.m.  Call 715-341-4007 for more information or to make a reservation.

At the Rosholt Branch Library, the testing will occur on Sept. 12, 4-6 p.m.  Call 715-677-4512 for more information or to reserve a time.

It is recommended that dial gauges be tested every year.  Only the following brands can be tested:  Presto, Maid of Honor, Magic Seal, and National canners. Please allow 10 minutes for the process. Drop-ins are welcome.
