Highlights and postgame interview with junior wide receiver Carmelo Aleman and senior running back/wide receiver/cornerback Chris Andersen from the Division 5 second-ranked Amherst High School football team’s game against Wittenberg-Birnamwood at Community Stadium at Goerke Field Friday, Sept. 6.
Aleman caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Lincoln Cullen on the Falcons’ first play from scrimmage to give the team a 7-0 lead. Andersen followed with a 12-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter to increase Amherst’s lead to 14-0, while he also caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from Cullen in the third quarter of the Falcons’ 42-0 win over Wittenberg to improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the Central Wisconsin Conference Large.
