Fighting Bob Fest coming to Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT – The Fighting Bob Fest is coming to Stevens Point’s Pfiffner Pioneer Park, 401 Franklin St., on Sept. 14.
The event is promoted as “a day of conversation in the spirit of Wisconsin’s Robert ‘Fighting Bob’ La Follette.”
The festival kicks off at 9:30 a.m., featuring speakers who will talk on the following subjects: how to solve the climate emergency; the health care crisis; gerrymandering and fair elections, LGBTQ+ rights, and Wisconsin politics in 2020. Many issue-oriented groups will be represented, providing information and discussing today’s issues.
The featured speaker will be Jim Hightower – “America’s Number One Populist.” Hightower will begin at 10:45 a.m.
