Ice Age Trail group to host 33rd Hike-a-thon

PORTAGE COUNTY – On Oct. 5, the Ice Age Trail group will host its 33rd annual Portage/Waupaca County Ice Age Trail Hike-a-thon.
On the first Saturday of October, the regional group hosts the self-guided hike on one of the trail sections that travels through the rolling hills of the area.
At a time of the year when oak and maple trees are in full bloom, hikers are allowed a glimpse into central Wisconsin’s beauty.
Registration runs from 8:30-11 a.m. at the Iola Winter Sports Club/New Hope Segment, E398 County Rd MM, Iola.
The event features refreshments, door prizes, and displays. Donations are accepted and tax deductible.
