Amherst cross country teams run at SPASH Invite

The Amherst boys and girls cross country teams both ran at the SPASH Panther Invitational at Standing Rocks County Park Saturday, Sept. 14.

The Amherst girls finished 11th overall with 319 points, as SPASH won the meet with 67 points, and Auburndale won the Small School Division with 206.

Sophomore Dylan Werachowski finished 37th to lead the Amherst girls, followed by junior Kate Omernik (67th), sophomore Revyn Abbot-Beversdorf (70th), sophomore Nicole Eiden (73rd), freshman Abby Rieck (89th), sophomore Samantha Anglemyer (90th), sophomore Bailey Maxwell (112th) and junior Hanna Kropidlowski (121st).

The Amherst boys took 15th with 396 points, as SPASH won the meet with 36 points, and Pacelli won the Small School Division with 224 points.

Senior Kyle Young finished 23rd to lead the Amherst boys, followed by sophomore Noah Barz (88th), freshman Otto Boelk (96th), freshman Blaise Andrich (111th), junior Johnny Ballinger (114th) and freshman Dane Melby (121st).
