Two SPASH students host 1918 educational escape room

For the City Times
STEVENS POINT – Two Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH) students are hosting an escape room that they hope to be both fun and educational.
Through the HOSA – Future Health Professionals organization, overseen by Brett Lesniak, Victoria Miller and Julia Lang are organizing an escape room based off the pandemic of 1918, focusing on influenza – a virus infection that has killed many people.
As you step into the room, you will travel back in time to the year 1918 when the influenza pandemic first broke out in the United States. With different puzzles to solve, you will have to figure your way out of the room with facts pertaining to influenza.
Their goal in hosting the escape room is to provide awareness about influenza. The free, family-friendly, 25-minute escape room will be held on Oct. 27 near the SPASH North Commons, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
