Arts Wisconsin teaming up with Make Music Day

For the City Times
STEVENS POINT – Arts Wisconsin is teaming up with Make Music Day, a worldwide celebration of music, to get people, organizations, businesses and communities throughout Wisconsin interested and involved in music and community, and to promote Make Music Day in Wisconsin as an annual event.
Aaron Friedman, director of Make Music Day, based in NYC, will travel around Wisconsin Oct. 26-30 to promote Wisconsin’s participation statewide in Make Music Day. The next Make Music Day will happen worldwide on Sunday, June 21, 2020.
Everyone interested in participating in Make Music Day in Wisconsin is invited to a community meeting with Aaron Friedman of Make Music Day and Anne Katz of Arts Wisconsin on Oct. 26, 1-2 p.m., at the IDEA Center, 1039 Ellis Street, Stevens Point.
Completely different from a typical musical festival, Make Music Day concerts are performed by anyone who wants to take part and enjoyed by everyone who wants to attend. Any musician, amateur or professional, young or old, and businesses, buildings, schools, churches and synagogues, and other institutions, can participate.
