Local high school football results from Week 6 of the season Friday, Sept. 27.
Pacelli Catholic High School hosted Rosholt High School in its Homecoming Game at Community Stadium at Goerke Field, in a key Central Wisconsin Conference (CWC) Small matchup for both teams.
Rosholt (3-3, 2-1) used a touchdown in the closing seconds of the first half to take a 27-14 lead into halftime, and went on to a 40-14 win over Pacelli (1-5, 1-2).
Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) (0-6, 0-5) lost 44-0 at Holmen (5-1) in a nonconference game, while Division 5 second-ranked Amherst (6-0, 4-0) won 35-7 at Bonduel (4-2, 2-2).
Division 7 sixth-ranked Almond-Bancroft (6-0, 3-0) also remained unbeaten with a 30-28 win in its Homecoming Game over Cambria-Friesland (3-3).
Cambria took a 28-22 lead with a two-yard touchdown run and two-point conversion run with 10:05 left in the fourth quarter, but Almond senior running back Jackson Beggs scored on a nine-yard touchdown run with 7:06 to play in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 28-28, and junior quarterback Daniel Baumgartner completed the two-point conversion pass to senior wide receiver Elijah Kollock for the eventual game winner in the Eagles’ 30-28 victory.
