NCCT secures 98 acres in Portage County

PORTAGE COUNTY – On Sept. 26, the North Central Conservancy Trust (NCCT) and Kim and Todd Becken signed NCCT’s most recent conservation easement on 98 acres of the Becken farm in the town of Stockton.
NCCT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to “conserve the natural heritage of Central Wisconsin through the protection of land.”
The Becken land borders the Richard A. Hemp State Fishery Area and the Tomorrow River.
The easement is the 21st conservation easement that NCCT holds in Portage County. NCCT has secured easements on 1,271 acres in Portage County and over 4,400 acres in their eight-county service area.
