STEVENS POINT – Downtown business owners celebrated Halloween by passing out candy to costumed visitors during “Downtown Trick or Treating” on Oct. 26.
Children of all ages flocked to Main Street for Halloween scares and snacks, where retail outlets were handing out candy to participants from roughly 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The free family outing offers a safe alternative to traditional city-wide trick or treating, which in Stevens Point takes place on Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m.
