Ballweg appointed as Delta Dental president and CEO

STEVENS POINT – Delta Dental of Wisconsin has named Doug Ballweg president and CEO. Ballweg assumed the role on Nov. 2 and replaces former president and CEO Dennis Peterson, who has retired after more than 41 years.
Ballweg joined Delta Dental in August 2010 as vice president, finance, and chief financial officer and was subsequently promoted to chief operating officer. Before joining the company, Doug was a partner with Strohm Ballweg, LLP for 11 years. He has served Delta Dental of Wisconsin in various consulting roles since 1990.

His commitment to providing a high level of customer service, to further advance our mission to improve oral health, and to our employees, gives us tremendous opportunities ahead,” noted Pepi Randolph, Delta Dental of Wisconsin Board chairman.
Ballweg is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, holding degrees in both accounting and administrative management. He is a licensed CPA by the State of Wisconsin since 1993.
Ballweg recently served as the president of the Portage County Business Council and the United Way of Portage County. He also serves as a director for WoodTrust Bank.
