For the Gazette
STEVENS POINT – The Wisconsin Master Chorale will host their holiday concert titled “Veni Veni Emmanuel: A Christmas Concert,” Dec. 6-8 at various places in the Stevens Point area.
The choir, directed by Larry P. Hansen, will sing a variety of American Christmas carols including “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” and featuring “0 Come, 0 Come Emmanuel”.
“This concert will prepare the listener’s heart for the Christmas season,” Hansen said. “The choir has worked very hard and has prepared some holiday classics as well as Christmas pieces from around the globe. Come ready to be put in the holiday spirit.”
The concert will also feature the Suzuki children’s choir, directed by Mary Hofer. The concerts are Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church; Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Convent Chapel.
There will also be a silent auction at the Saturday evening performance to raise money for the organization.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or through a choir member.
