SPASH wrestling beats reigning State Semifinalist Marshfield

The Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH) opened its season by going on the road and winning at reigning WIAA Division 1 State Semifinalist Marshfield Thursday, Dec. 5.
The Panthers used pins from Justin Groshek (113 pounds), TJ Schierl (132) and Brett Johnston (182) to win 36-26 Thursday night.
Groshek won by pin in 22 seconds, TJ Schierl won by pin in 41 seconds, Johnston won by pin in 3:55, Sam Molski (170) won 16-13, Josh Kolodziej won 7-0, and Jaren Rohde (220) and Rayjavontae Wilson (285) won by forfeit.
SPASH will be back in action at the Wausau West Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
