UW-Stevens Point Symphony Orchestra to perform in concert

STEVENS POINT – Enjoy the music of romance, as the Symphony Orchestra at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point performs in concert on Feb. 26.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Michelsen Hall in the Noel Fine Arts Center, 1800 Portage St., Stevens Point. The Symphony Orchestra is directed by Andy Moran, assistant professor of horn and orchestral director.
Anna Cromwell, assistant professor of violin and viola, will be the featured violinist during “Romance No. 2 in F Major for Violin and Orchestra” by Ludwig van Beethoven. This is her premiere performance at UW-Stevens Point.
The orchestra will also perform “Joyeuse Marche” by Emmanual Chabrier, “Lyric for Strings” by George Walker and “Mother Goose Suite” by Maurice Ravel.
