PORTAGE COUNTY – Portage County leaders closed Standing Rocks Ski Hill and all county snowmobile trails on March 2.
On the county’s website, county officials noted that Standing Rock’s skiing and biking trails could reopen, depending on weather conditions.
“Standing Rocks Park downhill ski area and the BOORC (Behnke Olson Outdoor Recreation Center) are closed for the season. We will try to groom the ski and bike trails if conditions warrant continued grooming,” a post stated.
All snowmobile trails in the county are now closed for the remainder of the season.
With the county’s winter activities wrapping up, locals can look ahead to hiking, disc golfing, and biking at Standing Rocks and other county spaces.
