WAGS to host old photo presentation
The Waupaca Area Genealogical Society (WAGS) will meet. Linda Durrant from Scandinavia, will speak at 10 a.m.
Durrant’s presentation will focus on old photographs. She will discuss what she looks for when finding/buying old photos. How she researches old photos to learn about the person in the photo and how to reach out to living relatives, ultimately returning the photo to them.
The public is welcome.
The Holly History and Genealogy Center is located at 321 South Main Street, Waupaca.
Bridal Resale and Wedding Show
10 a.m. – 1p.m.
Eron’s Event Barn, LLC, 3471 County Rd C, Stevens Point, will host their third annual Bridal Resale and Wedding Show. Past brides will be selling their gently used wedding related items – dress, decor, floral. Brides can shop the used items and visit with local wedding related vendors.
Brides will receive a bag sponsored by XOXO Wedding Rentals with a chance to win door prizes. Please use the guest parking lot entrance.
7th Annual Shamrock Shuffle
The shuffle is held at Clancey’s Stone Lion, 7214 Custer Dr., Custer. Prizes are given for first, second, and third place both men and women. More importantly, and more fun, prizes are given for the best “Wearing of the Green” for the event.
All proceeds to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Wisconsin Chapter.
The Second City
CREATE Portage County is bringing back The Second City. This year’s show, “Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons” will take place at the Sentry Theater, 1800 North Point Dr., Stevens Point.
The Second City is home to an entertainment company which continues to produce talent in all three of its locations—Chicago, Toronto, and Hollywood—entertaining more than one million audience members a year.

Stevens Point YMCA Spirits home gymnastics meet
Saturday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The YMCA Spirits Gymnastics Team will host a home meet, the “SPIRIT Invite 2020,” at the Stevens Point Area YMCA, 1000 Division St., Stevens Point.
Nearly 400 gymnasts will compete on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. Competition will include Levels 1-9, Xcel Levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
The YMCA Spirits will host gymnasts from 10 YMCA programs throughout the state, including Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, La Crosse, Southwood County, Wausau, Green Bay, Manitowoc, Green County (Monroe), and Sheboygan.
North-Central Heart of the Farm -Women in Agriculture
UW-Madison Division of Extension Clark, Marathon, and Wood Counties is hosting the 2020 North-Central Heart of the Farm -Women in Agriculture.
The conference will be held at the UW-Stevens Point – Marshfield Campus, Everett Roehl STEM Center, Conference Room, 2000 West 5th Street, Marshfield.
The Heart of the Farm – Women in Agriculture Conference series is a UW-Madison Division of Extension program that is committed to addressing the needs of farm women, by providing education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources and creating support networks.
