Stevens Point Fire Department takes precaution to avoid spread of COVID-19

For the City Times
STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Fire Chief Robert Finn says the department is taking precautions to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus while maintaining essential services.
“We are limiting the flow of public, and city personnel within the two city fire stations to only essential city workforce,” Finn said in a release. “For now, the Stevens Point Fire Department has suspended all Public Education Events, Fire Inspections, and Public Blood Pressure Screenings. If you are in need of non-emergent items such as a burning permit, please call ahead and we will assist you with getting the permit filled out by appointment only.
“We would also like to assure you that the Stevens Point Fire Department is still responding to all Non-Emergent and Emergent calls.”
