Portage County opens parks and trails for hiking, walking
For the City Times
PORTAGE COUNTY – As of March 26, the Portage County’s parks and trails are open for hiking and walking. This includes the Tomorrow River State Trail which can also be used for biking.
Although the parks are open for these activities, the bathroom facilities and lodges will remain closed until further notice.
Until further notice, the playgrounds are prohibited. The Portage County Parks department asks that you do not use playground equipment.
If using the parks and trails, please maintain proper social distancing guidelines, and avoid close contact with others. The CDC recommends a minimum of six feet of distance to help reduce the risk of spread between individuals.
On March 30, the Parks main office will not be open for in-person meetings unless deemed necessary. For more information, contact 715-346-1433 or [email protected].
