Yard and rummage sales not allowed during Safer at Home
For the City Times
PORTAGE COUNTY – The village of Plover, city of Stevens Point, and Portage County Health and Human Services-Division of Public Health are reminding county residents that yard sales and rummage sales are not allowed during the Safer at Home order.
“With the warmer weather, Portage County residents recently began asking their municipalities if they can hold yard sales, rummage sales, and/or garage sales, given Governor Evers’ Emergency Order No. 12 Safer at Home Order,” a Portage County Health Department release stated.
“Article No. 3 of Governor Evers’ Emergency Order No. 12 prohibits yard sales, rummage sales, and/or garage sales. As such, all residents of the state of Wisconsin are not allowed to hold such sales as long as Emergency Order No. 12 remains in effect (Order No. 12 is currently in effect until 8 a.m. on Friday, April 24; however, this is subject to change). Please continue to watch for any updates to Order No. 12 over the next few days.
“As such, we ask that all Portage County residents adhere to this requirement to provide the greatest degree of protection possible for our families, friends and neighbors during the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
