Letter to the Editor: The right to vote
The right to vote was fought for by our forefathers. If George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and Abraham Lincoln were alive what would they say?
Today, we see how our voting rights are slipping away. As the same thing can happen when you’re in quicksand, and before you know it, you can’t get out.
Wendell Nelson is right about people today. They’re more interested in reality shows, fantasy movies, or how many Facebook friends I have. Really?
Our Constitution is slipping away and it’s because of two things – corruption while voting and people too lazy to do anything when it comes to voting.
Now, it was suggested by a politician to have our November elections by absentee. Really? Fraud, fraud, and more fraud. It has been proven how votes can disappear or someone that was dead all of the sudden has risen and can vote.
Wake up people. Do you want to live in a country like China, Russia, or Iran? Maybe you do, because it seems like people only want their needs met and care more about stupid things.
How do you think Hitler took over? People didn’t stand up for their rights and did nothing.
Did veterans die for nothing? They died for our right to vote and to be an American.
Wake up before it’s too late.
