PORTAGE COUNTY – Portage County Health and Human Services officials are confirming another COVID-19 outbreak. Officials say that 15 additional Portage County residents have tested positive.
Cases have been identified at several Portage County businesses. Some of those positive cases also attended a college graduation party in Stevens Point May 30. Public Health officials are busy trying to confirm any additional positive cases by conducting contact tracing.
Isolation orders have been issued for those who have already tested positive.
The investigation is ongoing, and public health officials anticipate that more positive cases will be identified over the next several days.
Health officials have identified six businesses where members of the public may have been exposed to the virus while not practicing social distancing. Those businesses include: Papa Joe’s Bar, Len Dudas Motors, The Final Score, Partners Pub & Grill, the Silver Coach Restaurant, and the Amber Grill.
Portage County has requested community testing through the Wisconsin National Guard, and officials are now waiting to identify a date and times for the testing event, which will take place at Portage County Health and Human Services.
