Portage County in need of poll workers
By Kris Leonhardt
PORTAGE COUNTY – Portage County is in need of poll workers for the Aug. 11 election.
Any Portage County resident can serve as a poll worker, regardless of where in the county they reside.
“To be a poll worker you have to be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Portage County,” Portage County County Clerk Kayla Filen said. “You cannot serve as a poll worker if you are serving a felony conviction.”
Candidates on the ballot are not eligible to serve in this capacity, as well.
