Lighting it up: Stevens Point’s downtown gets a little brighter
By Taylor J. Hale
STEVENS POINT – Downtown just got a little brighter. On Aug. 25, city crews installed new decorative party lights in the downtown square to enhance the area’s evening atmosphere.
The Stevens Point Alliance purchased the new lights for locals to enjoy during events like the weekly [email protected] series.
“With music on Wednesday and open dining on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday until 9 p.m., we hope it will just add a little something to your evenings,” Wiza said about the new lights on social media. “The city covered the cable, electricity, and labor, and the Downtown Point group cover the cost of the lights. We’ll say it is just something to ‘brighten’ your experience.”
The lights will be activated during evening hours.
