STEVENS POINT – Pacelli’s 46th annual Panacea is scheduled to be held outdoors Sept. 11-13 at Pacelli Catholic High School.

“While the event has grown into a community-wide, family-friendly event, this year’s event will look very different,” a Pacelli release said.

“Panacea will be held exclusively outdoors and will be without the carnival, farmer’s market, and cherry tree, to name a few.”

The silent auction has been moved to an online platform, with bidding running through Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.

“Panacea 2020 is not about the money, it’s about the tradition and culture that Pacelli Catholic Schools was founded on,” said Pacelli director of advancement, Hannah Testin. “It’s about giving our community a reason to come together at a time when we need it most, and by together, I mean safely 6 feet apart, of course.”

This year’s event, however, has been scaled back to limit crowd size.

“Panacea opens Friday, Sept. 11 with a fish fry catered by Rockman’s Catering 4-7 p.m. featuring drive thru, carry out, and outdoor seating only,” the release explained. “Saturday highlights include the Mike & Miller Comedy Show, Caricatures by Joey, Polka Pow Wow feat. Polish Connection, and Still Reckless: Drew & Tyler Acoustic Show. The event will close out on Sunday, Sept. 13 with a chicken dinner and the raffle drawings, where the big winner will get their choice of $20,000 or a new 2019 Chevrolet Blazer donated by Len Dudas Motors.

“Pacelli offers other ways to support the event without setting foot on the Panacea grounds, like bidding in the online silent auction, purchasing raffle tickets, or contributing to the special Panacea 2020 + Matching Gift Challenge sponsored by The Dan & Patti Rashke (TASC) Family Foundation, aimed at raising $50,000.”
