National Day of Remembrance to be held at Guardian Angel Cemetery
For the City Times
STEVENS POINT – On Sept. 12, three pro-life groups – Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League – will come together for the eighth annual Day of Remembrance.
The first annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children was held in September 2013 to mark the 25th anniversary of the burial of several hundred abortion victims in Milwaukee. The Day of Remembrance is now held annually on the second Saturday in September.
The event is coordinated locally to bring awareness to abortion and “humanize the unborn victims.”
The memorial service will take place Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. Guardian Angel Cemetery, 801 Soo Marie Ave., Stevens Point and will include reflection and prayer with local clergy.
