Junction City victim identified

PORTAGE COUNTY – The man found dead in a Junction City ditch has been identified as Robert Ingersoll, 49, of Junction City.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the death is not suspicious. The official cause of death remains under investigation and is pending an autopsy and toxicology tests,” a release from Portage County Sheriff Mike Lukas stated.
On Nov. 30, shortly before 12:15 p.m., the Portage County Communications Center received a report of a body in a ditch in the village of Junction City.
The caller stated the person appeared to be deceased and was located along West First Street, approximately 150 feet east of Church Avenue, in the village of Junction City.
The sheriff’s office is asking that anyone who had contact with the victim on or after Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m. should contact Portage County Detective Kevin Flick at 715-346- 1858.
