Tinsel Trail goes online
Art and craft show transforms for 2020 season

Tinsel Trail Art & Craft Show is in its 51st year and looking a whole lot different this year.
The annual craft show, which is typically held the Sunday before Thanksgiving, features over 250 local vendors.
“One hundred percent of the $3 entrance fee is reinvested back into Portage County. This event is held at the Stevens Point Holiday Inn Convention Center with over 4,000 in attendance,” explained Kristin Dostal, treasurer for the Stevens Point Junior Women’s Club, who hosts the event.
For the 2020 season, organizers are offering an online platform – a Virtual Shopping Guide – that allows shopper to order items directly from the vendor. Dostal said this allows the club to show continuous support for the vendors who have supported them.
“Due to COVID 19 we had to forego our in person event this year, however our goal is to still support all of our vendors that display at the event year after year,” she added. “We have created a Virtual Shopping Guide to support them. The guide displays the physical layout referencing the vendors that have opted to participate. These vendors are outlined with their business information, shopping links and contact information. The event’s patrons are able to access the document and support their favorite vendors.”
Over 70 vendors are participating online in this year’s online venue.
