For the Gazette

PORTAGE COUNTY – The Portage County Public Library is hosting its eighth annual “Adult Winter Reading Challenge” through Feb. 28. This year’s theme is “1980s edition” and will feature topics from the decade.

“The program will use the online platform Beanstack that allows participants to earn badges and discover great books. For each badge earned participants will receive an entry into prize drawings for gift cards from the following businesses: Arbuckles Eatery & Pub, Bill’s Pizza Shop, The Coffee Studio, Companion Shop, Kindred Spirit Books, The Wellness Spa, and Wooden Chair. All prizes were purchased by the Portage County Public Library Foundation from businesses that have generously supported our Adult Reading Program in previous years,” a library release stated.

Participants can register by visiting pocolibrary.beanstack.org or by downloading the Beanstack Tracker app.

More details can be found on the Portage County Public Library’s website at pocolibrary.org or by contacting the Reference Department at 715-346-1548.
