STEVENS POINT – St. Paul Lutheran Church and School recently participated in a Gift of Love challenge and was able to donate $1,715 of gift cards for area businesses to the Stevens Point and Plover Police Departments.

These cards will be distributed by police officers to community members they encounter who are in need.

“We were looking for a direct and tangible way to help our community,” said Julianna Weden. “We know that police officers encounter individuals/families in need often and wanted to provide them with resources to help.”
