Central Wisconsin philanthropic organization recognized for standards
For the City Times
The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin has been accredited by the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundation – the highest standards for philanthropic excellence.
“The National Standards for U.S Community Foundations represents the foundation’s commitment to go above and beyond federal and state law requirements to demonstrate accountability and excellence to communities, policymakers, and the public,” a Community Foundation release stated.
“The Accreditation Seal is only awarded to those community foundations that continue to meet comprehensive standards. Those receiving the Accreditation Seal have demonstrated their commitment to the success and well-being of every cause they support and are willing and able to stand by every grant they have made. The Accreditation Seal signals to donors, professional advisors, nonprofits, and businesses that the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin is a trusted place to leave a gift that will live forever and give forever.”
The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin provides grants to local nonprofits throughout Portage and Waushara Counties, awards scholarships to students, and offers ways to inspire charitable giving by connecting people and resources.
