First State Bank announces promotion
Whitrock named executive vice president

First State Bank announced the promotion of Jeffrey J. Whitrock to executive vice president.
“Whitrock leads the bank’s business and agricultural banking, retail banking, mortgage lending, investment services, and marketing teams and is responsible for the bank’s overall customer development and community engagement efforts. He is also the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer,” a company release stated.
Whitrock joined First State Bank as senior vice president in February 2020 and has over 28 years of banking experience. He worked for U.S. Bank from 1993-2005 and was president and CEO of Pioneer Bank 2005-20.

Jeff served as a board member of the Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) for four years, and currently serves on the WBA Executives Conference Advisory Board Committee. He is the chairman of the Plover Police & Fire Commission and has volunteered on many local boards and organizations in the Stevens Point and Plover communities, including: the Plover Area Business Association, St. Michael’s Hospital Board, United Way of Portage County, Portage County Coalition for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Boys & Girls Club, and Teen Leadership Portage County.
He and his wife, Lisa, live in Plover and have two daughters.
