Brownell, Lewis snag sportsmanship team honors, All-WIAC teams released

MADISON – The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) recently released its awards for the indoor track and field season.
UW-Stevens Point’s Adrienne Lewis (Kimberly) and Quinn Brownell (Pewaukee) were named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship teams.
For the UWSP women, Sylviann Momont (Auburndale) picked up second-team honors for the high jump and pentathlon. She was also named to the honorable mention squad for the 60-meter hurdles.
In addition to the sportsmanship award, Lewis earned an honorable mention nod for the long jump. Leyna Herzog (Appleton) and Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay) were also honorable mention team selections for the 200-meter dash and 800-meter run, respectively.
For the men, Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc) earned a first-team nod for the 60-meter hurdles. Among the second-team selections were Mike Ayensu-Mensah (Appleton) for high jump, Tom Kohn (Minnetonka, MN) for triple jump and the distance medley relay team of Josh Jumbeck, Evan Torgerson (Weston), Ashton Arnold (Kiel) and Bret Hilliard (Morton, IL).
All-conference selections were chosen based on first-, second- and third-place finishes in each event from the season’s performances lists on www.tfrrs.org.
