UWSP fans return with limitations in place
For the Gazette
STEVENS POINT – UW-Stevens Point fans will return to spring sports events on the campus, with limitations in place under current city and county regulations.
At UWSP baseball games, seating in the bleachers will be limited to 25 percent. All seating will be designated by the teams for each game. Additional standing room will also be available with social distancing advised. An allotment of visiting team seats will be available.
UWSP softball will allow 25 percent seating in the bleachers at games as well. Due to the limited seating at McCarty Memorial Field, no visiting team seating is available.
All fans will be encouraged to physically distance at events and masks are required on the UWSP campus through June 30. No food or concessions will be available for purchase at UWSP baseball or softball games. Gates at baseball and softball will open one hour before first pitch.
While no seating is available, fans are allowed to attend UWSP home women’s tennis matches. Adherence to social distancing and campus mask policy is requested.
Fans are encouraged to check other institution’s policies for UWSP road events. Check the UWSP athletics website for the most up-to-date info, as regulations are subject to change.
